CHALLENGES FACED BY YOUNG ADULTS

1. CAREER
As job seekers or young workers, we want to land a good job and climb up the social ladder to become ‘somebody’ in society. There is nothing wrong in that . But do we seek for God’s will in our lives? We can never be happy unless we are in His perfect will. Col. 3:23 – 24 exhorts us, ’whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men’ and that we will ‘receive the reward of the inheritance’. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE PRACTISE OUR FAITH AT OUR WORKPLACE!

2. LIFE PARTNER
Right from the beginning, God knew man’s need, even before Adam expressed it! God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” (Gen.3:18) Pray and seek his choice for you. Currently, the institution of marriage is being challenged as never before.   Marriage was and still is God’s idea and must be entered into and lived according to His rules, to bring forth ‘Godly seed (generation’ (Mal.2:15)

3. CHRISTIAN HOME
The problem in our Churches is that we have many ‘BELIEVERS’ but not many ‘DISCIPLES’! Jesus Christ is more interested in we developing into disciples for Him!(Luke 14:25 – 35).  DISCIPLING BEGINS AT HOME AND PARENTS ARE THE FIRST AND BEST TEACHERS!  MYAFers must strive to become DISCIPLES and raise Godly children (Deut.6:1 – 5). Our children must be come great worshippers and generous givers to the Lord.

4. KINGDOM WORKERS
We are ALL CALLED TO SERVE THE LORD. Our functions will DIFFER but the calling is COMMON! (I Pt.2:9 -10). We must look at our Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ and cultivate a PASTORAL HEART. Learn to work with your Pastors, empower others and extend the borders of the Kingdom Of God.

5. GENEROUS GIVERS
The secret of successful giving is learning to give what we DO NOT HAVE! Commit to God in FAITH and trust Him to supply your shortfall. HE NEVER FAILS!!!
